The Wharf Parcel 10

87,000 square feet
5 stories
Washington, D.C.
2022

Located at the convergence of M Street Landing and the bend of the Washington Channel, Parcel 10 serves as an iconic "jewel box" terminus to The Wharf—a new waterfront neighborhood along the Potomac River. With an elegant rotated glass volume that appears to float above its plinth, the five-story commercial office serves as a nuanced counterpoint to the district's larger mixed-use buildings.

Parcel 10's plinth is a concrete volume pierced by a glass storefront and topped by an expansive private terrace. Terraces on the fifth floor add to the abundant outdoor space accessible by the building’s users. At the ground plane, the plinth incorporates a main retail entrance on axis with the district’s riverwalk to create an engaging bookend to the development.

The project received LEED Platinum certification and is occupied by The Atlantic.
