The Huron

266,000 square feet
13 stories, 173 units
Brooklyn, New York
2024

Nestled along the East River, The Huron is a two-towered luxury condo building that boasts unobstructed views of Manhattan and unparalleled access to Brooklyn’s expanded waterfront park system.

The Huron is defined by two 13-story towers connected by a shared lobby, whose stepped forms narrow on the higher floors. The two-tower massing maximizes the possibility of unobstructed views across the East River, taking advantage of its exceptional waterfront location.

The building’s glass and steel towers reflect Greenpoint’s industrial heritage, while the rough brick podium is inspired by the materials and scale of surrounding warehouses. The heavily gridded façade is comprised of a window wall system, featuring I-beam profiles on the piers.

Within, MA-designed interiors are defined by sleek but timeless materials. Kitchens feature white lacquer cabinets and Calacatta marble, as well as integrated appliances. Each tower includes four penthouse units and numerous 3-bedroom apartments intended to accommodate families.

Residents at The Huron can enjoy numerous amenities, including a pool, gym, yoga studio, sauna, co-working space, catering kitchen, and outdoor playground. The communal roof space features a shared garden, movie screening area, and grills.

“For the design of The Huron, we wanted to respect Greenpoint’s past and present contexts. We drew inspiration from specific industrial artifacts and the luminosity and artistry of the local community.” Morris Adjmi

Twenty works of art are displayed throughout The Huron—primarily by Brooklyn or New York-based artists, including the Elise Ferguson-commissioned art in the lobby, pictured here.
