Rockaway Beach, New Yorkers’ Favorite Escape, Sees Creative Resurgence | Architectural Digest

Architectural Digest recently profiled the Rockaway Hotel, describing the property as "one of the most exciting, design-forward openings in Rockaway in generations."

"The hotel, a chic 53-room property designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and Curious Yellow Design that was unveiled late last summer, is one of the most exciting, design-forward openings in Rockaway in generations. And thanks to its community outreach and local connections, it has become a de facto gallery of sorts. The lobby houses two pieces by Tom Sachs (who lives nearby), as well as works by Roe Ethridge (who also has a home here), Katharina Grosse, Derrick Adams, and a piece by Alessandro Teoldi made out of airline blankets, in a nod to the proximity of JFK."
