Saskia Boelsums is enchanted by the same landscapes that inspired Paulus Potter, Salomon van Ruysdael, and Willem Maris. Though her medium—photography—is different, her expansive horizons, lonely beaches, and impossibly tangled bramble fields reveal a shared sensibility with the great Dutch painters and similar sensitivity to space, light, and texture.
