ROOST East Market is a 2.0 version of the ROOST extended stay hotel brand, located within The Girard—a new mixed-use building designed by MA.
Featuring full-height factory-style windows, The Girard employs a modern, industrial design language characteristic of Philadelphia's East Market neighborhood. Within, MA’s interior concept for ROOST utilizes pure and honest materials with clean lines and details so subtle they don’t register at first.
Each room within the extended-stay units feels unique and carefully curated, like a friend’s stylish apartment. Rich rosewood and walnut contrast with patinated brass and steel. Warm cognac leathers compliment hand-glazed ceramic lamp bases.
The furniture selections are a mix of custom new pieces, collected vintage, and classic modern design. Custom credenzas and consoles are inspired by the minimalist modernism of Donald Judd and Bill Katz. Accent tables and nightstands are clearly midcentury with wicker details and tulip bases.
ROOST East Market guests share common amenity space with The Girard’s permanent residents, including a common lounge, pool deck and pool lounge, chef’s kitchen, and game room.
