MA Converts Historic Textile Building Overlooking the High Line | Archinect
It was a tremendous honor to work with James Haddad of Elijah Equities on the renovation of 520 West 20th Street, a building that has been in the Haddad family for generations.
The existing warehouse, one of the few remaining vestiges of Chelsea’s industrial past, was carefully rehabilitated by the MA team to remain in place as a reminder of the neighborhood’s history. Hovering above it, however, a cantilevered addition reflects more contemporary values to bridge the past and the present.
