116 University’s stepped framed windows lend its masonry façade a depth and dynamism evocative of historic architectural traditions while still being rooted firmly in the present. The stepped motif recurs the metal canopies over the ground floor commercial and residential entrances, and at the top of the building where the façade tapers off with a subtle inverted cornice. A slight shift in window sizes reflects the layout of the five full-floor units within. 

Each of the building’s three- and four-bedroom homes has over 3,000 square feet of space and features private elevator access, wide plank white oak flooring, ceilings over 10 feet in height, spa-like master bathrooms, and in-home laundry rooms. Custom kitchens strike an ideal balance between functionality and style with Shaker-inspired cabinetry, eat-in waterfall islands, Calacata Cremo marble counters, and appliances by Miele.
